Complaints

If something does not go as expected during the intake or treatment, I would appreciate it if you would discuss it with me. This may even benefit the therapy process. If this is not possible and the client remains dissatisfied with the course of events, they have the right to file a complaint. I am affiliated with the LVVP (National Association for Independent Psychologists and Psychotherapists), and my clients can use a complaints officer through this association. For more information, see Client info LVVP.

Privacy

As a BIG-registered psychotherapist, I adhere to the professional code, which means that everything discussed in the therapy setting is confidential. It is customary, provided the client agrees, to inform the general practitioner by letter annually about the treatment policy, course, and any changes in the direction of the treatment. To monitor the quality of the treatment, I discuss the treatments (anonymized) regularly in an intervision group, with colleagues who also maintain professional secrecy. If I want to consult with third parties further, I will do so after written permission from the client, and I always provide feedback to the client. If necessary, I communicate with the client outside the therapy room via telephone or a secure email account, in accordance with the new privacy rules. To guarantee data and privacy, a client can fill out and sign a privacy statement at the start of the treatment (downloadable via this link). More information about the requirements of the NzA regarding the delivery of data and guarantees of privacy in the Healthcare Performance Model can be found here: Information card information flows in the healthcare performance model and privacy.
